What to Expect

Coming to visit a new church can create uncertainty. We do all we can to make the experience a pleasant one. Whether you’re coming alone, or with family or friends, we want you to feel comfortable, welcome, and have a great experience.

When you come to FBC, you’ll find…

A fun, friendly, and safe environment for your children. If you are new to FBC, please come 15 minutes early to get familiar with the check-in process. Upon arrival, please visit the Welcome Center to fill out a registration card. From there you will be directed to the Preschool and Children’s halls.

We place great importance on the spiritual and physical well being of your children.

Safety and Security Measures

FBC takes all the precautionary measures it can to keep kids safe while they are in our care. All Preschool and Children's Ministry volunteers and staff have had a national background check, personal reference checks, and been verified as able to serve in the Children's Ministry by the pastor of FBC.

During Sunday Services and Sunday School, no one is allowed in the Preschool and Children's Ministry area unless they have a pager or a Preschool and Children's Ministry volunteer or staff badge. When children are checked in at the Welcome Centers, they receive a numbered sticker.  The parent receives a matching numbered badge that must be presented to the caregiver in order to pick up the child. No one who has been convicted of a sex offense is allowed in the Children's Ministry - volunteer or parent.  We have deacons who monitor hallways and a Police Officer monitoring the outside as additional security. Parents can feel free to worship knowing that their children are safe and well cared for.

A Small Group just for you! In life, creating a sense of community and connecting with others is important. In the church, it's crucial. Sunday School classes are small groups within the larger church in which people of similar interests take care of the "one-anothers" in life. In a large church, it's important that community exists in order for relationships to be real and relevant. Sunday School classes meet on Sunday morning between the early and late service.
