What to do when you arrive:

If you have children 4 years old or younger, and would like for them to attend our children’s ministry activities, please enter the Welcome Center doors via the parking lot off of Adams Street. There will be a First Time Guest tent outside the doors. Please visit the tent first. You will receive a gift from us and be asked to fill out information about yourself and your children. Please take that card into the building, turn right at the main Welcome Center desk and approach the children’s check-in desk. You will check your children in at the desk and walk them through the security doors to their room. You can then ask someone at the desk or someone with an FBCE lanyard to help you find the Worship Center.

If you do not have children 4 years old or younger, or would like your children to attend worship with you, enter the building through the front door of the Worship Center off Main Street. There will be a First Time Guest tent outside the doors. Please visit the tent first. You will receive a gift from us and be asked to fill out information about yourself and/or your children.

If you are arriving to campus for Sunday School at 8:15 a.m. or 9:30 a.m., please enter the Welcome Center doors via the parking lot off of Adams Street. What to expect:

Worship services last about 55-60 minutes. Every service is comprised of singing, preaching, praying, and giving. Those who lead the service carry out the preaching and praying. The members of the church participate in giving and singing. As a guest, you are not expected to join us in singing and giving. However, you are welcome to if you would like. In some services, we will celebrate baptism and/or the Lord’s Supper. Baptism, the act of being submersed in water and rising from it, is a symbol that someone has decided to become a Christian. The Lord’s Supper is when each member of the congregation drinks a cup of juice and eats a piece of bread together. The red juice and the broken bread are symbols that Jesus’ body was broken and his blood was shed to take away our sins. As a guest, we ask that you not participate in the Lord’s Supper unless you are a baptized Christian who is a healthy member within a like-minded local church.

Sunday School lasts an hour. Some classes meet from 8:15 a.m.-9:15 a.m. Others meet from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Sunday School groups are smaller groups of people that meet together in rooms on our campus for prayer, Bible reading, and discussion. These groups are an opportunity for us to encourage and challenge each other by building closer relationships with one another. Each Sunday School group will have a designated leader. If you visit a group, you will be asked by some to share your name and a little bit about yourself so that they might get to know you better. However, they will not attempt to embarrass you in any way. They will not ask you to pray, read the Bible, or share anything that you might be uncomfortable sharing. Our Sunday School classes are formed primarily by age groups—from infants to senior citizens. Some of them are coed and some gender-specific. Some of them follow a curriculum that is designed around a different topic or specific book of the Bible. Some are based upon discussion about how to apply the sermon that was preached in the Worship Service.

Our Children’s Ministry is called “Kids @ First.” There are two primary elements of the children’s ministry: Sunday School and Wednesday evenings. There are two Sunday School options on Sundays. One takes place from 8:15 a.m.- 9:15 a.m. The other is from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. It is for children infants through 5th grade. Preschoolers are on the first floor and Kindergarten through 5th grade are on the second floor. Childcare for children 4 years old and younger is available during the worship services.

We desire for your children to experience Jesus on their level. Kids @ First is a safe, age-appropriate environment where kids learn the Bible, sing, and play. We understand it’s a big deal to drop your kids off somewhere unfamiliar. You’re welcome to ask someone for a tour before you make your decision. For nursing mothers, there is a private nursing room available for you in the preschool area.

Wear whatever you would like. Each church and culture have their own general dress style. However, we do not show partiality. Most people in our 8:15 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. services do not dress very formal, but some do. Most in our 10:45 a.m. service dress more formal, but some do not. You will not be judged based upon your outward appearance

Fill in the blank with whatever you fear would make you unwelcome: divorced, single parent, broke, addicted, atheist, skeptic, LGBTQ, a particular race or ethnicity.

Whether you grew up in church, have never been to church, consider yourself a Christian, or just have questions, we’d love for you to attend. At times, we address every aspect of the world in our preaching. We unashamedly seek to believe, teach, and follow everything the Bible teaches. However, we promise to be kind, respectful, and welcoming towards you even if you have disagreements.

Our mission is to glorify God by making disciples. Discipleship happens best in the context of small groups.

We understand that worship is the first step in experiencing God but the next step is to grow in godly relationships with other Christians.
